Haksan Theater was opened by the Michuhol-gu Haksan Culture Center on October 7th, 2004. The height and size of the theater’s stage can be adjusted freely (changeable stage). Thus, by adjusting the stage and removing the seats, the space of the theater can be fully utilized for open events such as madangnori and more. Such flexible use of the space enables the theater to change based on the types and requisites of the drama. Haksan Theater will become the new heart of Incheon’s drama culture, which has always played a leading role in Korean drama culture.

Celebrating the 7th anniversary of its opening, Haksan Theater will become a ‘Place where people can enjoy good dramas anytime’ through the independent staging of various performances and the active use of local drama companies.

Theater rental is possible not only for the drama companies of Incheon but also for those throughout the country. Haksan Theater is an open cultural space where artists can display their works at a low rental fee.
